Etain Bridal Boutique
Your Etain Appointment

In order to ensure that our brides receive the individual attention they deserve, we highly recommend an appointment. An appointment will guarantee that we have a bridal consultant on duty specifically to assist you. Appointments can be made at anytime. Just give us a call and we will do everything we can to work you in at a time that is convenient for you!

How should I prepare for my appointment? The Appoinment

If you haven’t already, feel free to start looking at wedding gowns online or in magazines. If you have an idea of a certain style or even a particular gown you like, you may want to bring pictures with you so your Bridal Consultant can get an idea of your preferences. However, it’s best to come in with a completely open mind. Gowns in pictures or on a hanger will look very different when they are tried on. Also, be open to trying on something you wouldn’t think you’d normally like. After all, your wedding day isn’t just a normal day, is it? And, don’t be bummed if you don’t fall in love with the styles you thought you would. Your dream gown is here!

In preparation for your appointment, you will also want to decide who you’ll bring with you for support. Be sure you bring only your closest friends and/or family who can offer opinions that you completely trust… and those who will trust your opinion as well. In the end, the decision should be yours. The last thing you need is someone who isn’t thinking of you, but thinking of themselves and their own feelings. It’s also best to keep the group size to a minimum. It may seem like a lot of fun coming with everyone, but you may get overwhelmed with opinions. This could cause you to be more confused and distracted from your true feelings.

What should I wear? The Appoinment

Just wear something you feel comfortable in when getting help from your Bridal Consultant. It is easiest to change in and out of the gowns with their help. The consultant knows how the gowns are supposed to be worn and they can fit the floor sample to you, no matter the size.

Please wear proper undergarments (mainly, we just ask that you don’t go without). If you choose, you can wear Spanx® or any other special undergarments of your choice, although they are certainly not a necessity. Lacy underwear does tend to get snagged by the clasps and beading on a bridal gown. And, if you would prefer to keep a bra on, try to stick with a nude or white strapless bra.

In most cases, shoes are not necessary for the appointment. However, if you feel you may want to get any kind of custom measurements in your gown, such as a custom hem length, you will want to have a pair of shoes with you to determine the heel height. They do not have to be the shoes you plan to wear on your wedding day, but the height should be as close as possible.

How long will it last? The Appoinment

Appointments typically last approximately one to two hours. We suggest splitting up the bridal appointment from your bridesmaids’. Once you have found your bridal gown, then you may want to set up a separate appointment to bring your bridesmaids back in. And once you’ve purchased your dream gown with us, we’ll give your bridesmaids 10% off their dresses.

What is the ordering process?

A new designer wedding gown can take an average of 4 to 6 months to be made and delivered. Therefore, if possible, we prefer to order the dress a minimum of 6 months prior to the wedding date to allow time for you to complete any necessary alterations once the gown arrives. It’s never too early to purchase your gown. Rush orders are available, but can be very costly. Your personal Bridal Consultant can also discuss customization options and specific delivery times with you. All of this will primarily depend on the dress you choose.

Etain requires a 50% deposit of the purchase price to order your gown. The remaining balance is due when the gown arrives at the store. We can then hold the dress for 2 weeks from the time it arrives.

And finally, the best time to pick out accessories such as veils, jewelry, shoes, and/or hair pieces is when you have the dress on. We encourage you to on a few different styles with your gown. The veil and/or accessories can be ordered along with the dress, or at any time in the months prior to your wedding.

Etain’s Bridal Consultants are excited to help you find the gown of your dreams.
